About The Armed Scotsman
I’m The Armed Scotsman — an independent reviewer of guns, optics, and tactical gear. I was born and raised in Scotland and have lived in the United States for more than 20 years.
I started as Prepper Junkie and later rebranded to The Armed Scotsman. Every review is based on actual range time and real-world use. I don’t do sponsored talking points. I care about reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, and whether a product is worth the money.
What I Review
- AR-15 platforms (budget to high-end: PSA, Geissele, LMT, Knights Armament, etc.)
- Pistols and red dots
- Optics (LPVOs, prisms, red dots)
- Suppressors and tactical accessories
I also built simple tools (AR-15 & Suppressor Wizards) to help people narrow down options based on how they actually shoot.
